Lyra is the viewer, so to speak, and is accepting the tulip from Morning Dew (hence, the magicness). I've been meaning to draw something for that chapter~
It's a bit messy in places, but this was mostly just experimental.
I forgot to say, I love the paint texture in this. Always amazes me how people can give the impression that these things were made with actual paint and brushes.
I've barely read a few paragraphs from that story, and I'm in love with it. And people call the show and its fans "shallow"? I've witnessed the opposite - the deepest thinkers, the most talented artists... join the community. Sucks so hard that I don't find the time to read these beautiful fanfics AND focus on my own works.
Butbutbut, they're right! Liking a cartoon with colorful animated ponies and mythical beasts makes you immature and gay! It doesn't matter what it contains, as long as it has no violence, blood, gore, sex, muscle and breasts... it's creepy to like it!
