Finally got the chance to do a detailed picture. At first I was going to put them in the Everfree forest, but that obviously didn't happen. This isn't necessarily my head-canon, but it was fun to draw. 8D

Those 'greedy unicorns' could be Celestia and Luna <only that they are Alicorns, but Chrysalis might not know the distinction>, and this could be the place where the Elements were.

yeah, it would be a nice twist
I mean, if they would show Celestia and Luna like that
not as goddesses, not as all powerful creatures that everyone looks up to, not as everyone's hope. Just two uber-overpowered ponies who didn't give a damn about anyone but themselves, minding their own business instead of protecting everyone from everything.
